The term karma is derived from Sanskrit karman or kamma and means “action, deed”. It is a spiritual concept according to which every action has inevitably consequences (in this or future lives). In the Indian religion the term is strongly linked with the idea of circuit of reincarnation.

Also in Chinese metaphysics karmic ideas come into effect, for example the idea that a person could gain merits by good deeds done by himself or by his ancestors. A destiny reading of Qi Men Dun Jia can draw conclusions about karmic entanglements.
