Purple star astrology, Chinese 紫微斗数 zĭ wēi dòu shù, literally “evaluation of the purple star”: part of the destiny studies, developed during the Song Dynasty (960-1279). Based on the assignment of so called stars to twelve palaces corresponding to certain life aspects there can be derived statements about the life course and the character of a person.
