Li Ji, Chinese 禮記 lǐ jì,  “The Book of Rites, Customs and Practices”: possibly written in the 2nd century B. C.

One of the five classics of Confucianism which mainly deals with the correct moral behavior and the etiquette as well as the ancestor cult. This book has shaped the society in China, Japan and Korea.

The Book of Rites is full of natural philosophic statements like the principle of yin and yang, the five elements and the cosmic trinity of heaven, earth and man.
